What an Oscars! Brief and to the point. I guess sponsors and the Academy alike discovered that quality should never be compromised for quantity.
Shock shock, horror horror at Sandra's win.
Shoo-ins for Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress. No surprises there.
What a day for women directors everywhere..
Bigelow's (what a last name) win coincided with International Women's Day (if anyone cares).
Fell in love with Carey Mulligan though Sandra managed to sneak one in. A and I are still stubborn on this and am vehemently NOT watching "The Blind Side".. due to one factor : Predictability.
Was watching LIVE streaming of the Oscars and was side lined for a while by failed streaming links which diverted to old Hannah Montana re-runs and some Indian dude's living room TV. I kid you not.
Overall, I would think that it's kinda a sham to have 10 pictures up for Best Picture.. the last time they did that it was the 1930s and Casablanca won. Regression much? It could be strategic to winning distribution by one of the major studios. (as I am sure Hurt Locker will now)
What I enjoyed: A Serious Man (Coen Bros), Up In The Air and An Education.
Still have to watch: A Single Man, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Crazy Heart, The Last Station.
LOL at Star Trek winning Best Makeup.
TMI at Mo'Nique's confession that she didn't shave her arms and legs at the Oscars.
nearly got everythin right except for meryl streep to get naked. good choices movielovers. uhuh.
Well i just finished watching "The Blind Side" and no way can Sandra win best actress.. it's not that she wasn't good but the movie wasn't even that memorable.
The Hurt Locker was nail on winning best picture as i doubt the academy would give it to a 3D film (i mean it's sort of an epic film but i don't think it can be in the same category as Dances with Wolves, Schindler's List or Forrest Gump).
On another note why was Clooney so gloomy like german world war 2 soldier at the Oscars? Any ideas?
George is definitely washed out.. save for that whiskey flask that he carried in his suit during the Oscars. Plus BFF Brad Pitt is on family duty and not attending. Ain't no fun for an aging man to be alone (female accessory not counted) on a big night. I have a feeling that his character in Up In The Air left a lingering, haunting impression on him.
hurmmm kuby....... this is by far the longest post ever written.... mcm pening... my concentration mcm lari lari.... bingungggggg laappparrr nak maggie gureng dengan telurhh
