The Dark Knight Rises

So here we have it. Finally here. IMAX Baby. You Ready?

It has been 8 years since The Dark Knight has disappeared/gone into hiding from Gotham. All the while Gotham is safely governed by the Dent Act which gives Commissioner Gordon the tools to put criminals in jail waving away the usual rights. However a new terror rises in the form of Bane, a former member of The League of Shadows is hell bent into bringing Gotham to its knees. Bruce Wayne, has no choice but the come out and deal with the menace of Bane before all that he has worked for ends up in ashes.

Bruce knew that 4square was a bad idea

Can I even sum everything up within this post? The movie was an amazing roller coaster ride of action, suspense and emotions. From the word go you can start to appreciate what Nolan was trying to do in this film. This 3rd installment gives the most insight into the life of Bruce Wayne than ever before. We sympathies with the man who has given his all for Gotham, but maybe not quite everything. Showing the more vulnerable side of Bruce give viewers the feel that Batman is after all, not unbeatable. It's only fitting that for this movie, Nolan introduces Bane as the baddie and master of ceremony for the destruction of Gotham. Probably considered as one of the few villain in the comic world than match Batman like for like, Bane is absolutely colossal as he beats the Dark Knight in every way imaginable.

And now... WE DANCE!

The Batman Trilogy goes full circle for all the characters in this film. There is a bucked-load of heavy story line from Catwoman to Gordon to even Alfred. I think each of them gets their equal amount of screen time to get you engulf into the world of Batman. Mind you, people who came out disappointed with the film might actually be hoping for something quite similar to the second film, when in fact this is probably closer to the first film (Batman Begins) than ever before. Actual emphasis on character development and great storyline in films has been quietly neglected by most movie-goers. If you're just waiting for boobs and things to explode, I'd suggest you watch the entire Transformers trilogy and nothing else.

Riding was easy, parking was the problem

The Dark Knight Rises is a crazy brilliant film. I left the cinema feeling in awe and disbelief that the trilogy has finally come to an end. Will we ever be able to witness something this epic for quite a while? As long as they don't reboot the franchise anytime in the next few years, maybe now Batman is able to get the ending it deserves.

Aprilsky passed me a link on the meaning of the scenes in TDKR. Has absolutely loads of SPOILERS so please don't click it if you haven't seen the film yet. If you have, go here.
